The Beatles

Welcome to Rubber Soul. A site that is dedicated to my idol band since i was a small kid! In the early '60s four lads burst onto an unsuspecting pop scene, and music changed for the better. Now, more than 30 years after they split up, the beatles still hold a special place in people's hearts. This page contains photos, it also tells the story of the band's remarkable rise to fame, discography, albums released and there's some fascinating info on John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

No band has a greater impact on popular music than the Beatles. They were four lads from Liverpool - John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr - all self thought musicians who completely changed the shape of rock music. In the years they were together they released an amazing catalogue of songs - virtually each one was mega-successful and many have since been hailed as musical masterpieces. A new term was coined - Beatlemania - to capture the manic frenzy of popularity that sorrounded the band. Their music has stood the test of time and today the Beatles still have a universal appeal, they are loved and listen  to the world over.
